Employment Application Process

 

Certification Requirements for EMTs & Paramedics.

 

EMTs and Paramedics must also submit the following:

 

  • EMT:  Copy of valid CPR card (only American Red Cross, American Heart Association or Healthcare Provider certificates are acceptable), National Registry Certification;  10 year DMV Report (H6) dated within 30 days (online sources not accepted)

  • PARAMEDIC:  Copy of a valid CPR card (only American Red Cross or American Heart Association certificates are acceptable); State of California License for Paramedics; 10 year DMV Report (H6) dated within 30 days (online sources not accepted)

 

EMT and Paramedic applicants must have been properly licensed to drive for a period of at least two (2) years and be at least 18 years of age.

 

All EMT, Paramedic and Dispatch personnel are members of TEMSA/USW.   West Side Ambulance Service enjoys an excellent relationship with our organized labor force.  This relationship is founded on mutual respect, fairness, and shared view of doing what is best for providing a quality EMS delivery system.
